The Cameroon Association for Women’s Rights and Justice (CAWRJ) is a women-led, non-profit, and non-partisan human rights organization dedicated to defending, promoting, and protecting the rights of women and girls in Cameroon. Founded in January 2020, CAWRJ was established to respond to gender inequality, discrimination, and violence against women and girls, particularly in conflict-affected regions.
Rooted in feminist values, we work to empower women, promote justice, and create lasting change in communities by advocating for legal reforms, providing free legal aid, offering psycho-social support to survivors of violence, and fostering women’s leadership in all spheres of life.
We envision a transformed society built on love, justice, and peace, where all women and girls live free from violence and discrimination and have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to national development.
To promote women’s rights, self-reliance, and dignity through human rights advocacy, legal aid, and community-driven development projects. We strive to improve the status of women and ensure their full and active participation in all aspects of life in Cameroon.
We advocate for equal rights for all, regardless of background.
We believe in collective leadership and inclusive governance.
We stand with women and girls, fighting for justice and empowerment.
